In such a coil the nails are layered from the outside of the coil to its center to form a cone. These coils are used in specially adapted cone coil nail guns. Using the wrong kind of coil in such a nail gun might lead to jamming, misfire, or even an injury.

Conical coil nails are welded together by two thin wire strips at a slanted 15-degree angle. This form of coil potentially saves space because a conical coil has a lesser diameter than a flat coil with the same number of nails.
Such coil can hold from 150 to 300 nails in one coil.
The only difference between these two coils is that they are used in different kinds of nail guns that are adapted to such coils. However, regular flat coils are more popular in the market.
Wire collated nails can be used in the construction field as well as in packaging manufacturing such as pallet, crate, cable reel, etc.
Our wire collated nails are compatible with all the leading brands of nail gun manufacturers. However, we remind you that flat coils do not work with nail guns adapted for conical coils and vice versa.
A smooth shank allows nails to enter the material more easily.
Ring shank nails have very high initial withdrawal resistance. Therefore, they are used in many wood framing and sheathing applications.
Screw shank nail resists withdrawal all the way out when being pulled. Therefore, screw nails are preferred for wood construction projects.
Diamond point is the most common nail tip. It gives the best possible penetration into the material.
Clinch point nails are used to secure boards of pallets and other wooden structures. The clinched nail tip bends easily under the metal base.
Blunt point nails prevent the wood from splitting when driven. It breaks through the wood fibers instead of splitting them.
Bright nails are not coated with a protective finish layer which means they are more vulnerable to outdoor conditions.
Vinyl coated nails use a slick vinyl coating for easier nail driving into the material. When it is driven for a moment vinyl heats up by the friction and then quickly cools down, hardening the vinyl coating which acts as the glue. However, this coating does not protect the nail from corrosion.
Electro-galvanized (white) nails have a 12μ layer of zinc which offers corrosion protection. They are generally used in areas where minimal corrosion protection is needed.
Electro-galvanized (yellow) nails offer the same corrosion protection as white galvanized nails the only difference is the color.
